Who we are
Built on scepticism, not sponsorship
We started Honest Select in 2022 after spending three evenings trying to compare broadband deals in Connacht and realising every "comparison" site was ranking by commission, not quality.
Today our team of five researchers covers 87 service categories. We charge the person who wants the comparison, not the company being compared. That keeps our incentives pointed in the right direction.
Our office is in Galway, and most of our clients are in Ireland, though we have done reports for Irish businesses sourcing suppliers in the UK and mainland Europe.

Things people ask before ordering
How much does a comparison report cost?
A standard report covering up to four providers is €49. If you need more providers or a niche category that requires specialist research, we quote individually before starting any work.
Do you earn commission from the providers you recommend?
No. We have no affiliate agreements, referral fees or advertising relationships with any service provider. Our only revenue comes from the report fee you pay.
Can I compare services outside Ireland?
We focus on the Irish market because that is where our data sources are strongest. For cross-border cases, such as an Irish SME sourcing a UK logistics partner, we can help if at least one side of the comparison is Ireland-based.
How current is the data in each report?
Every data point is gathered fresh during the five-day research window. We date-stamp each quote and test result so you know exactly when the information was captured.
What if I disagree with your recommendation?
Good. The report includes all the raw numbers so you can re-weight the criteria to match your own priorities. Some clients care more about price; others care about support quality. The data is the same either way.
